We are happy to announce the winners of our December best BEARD contest. We need to thank our awesome community and the voters, this wouldn’t be possible without you.
We asked winners these 3 following questions:
- Why did you decide to grow a beard?

1. Parteek Arora
- Growing beard is like having crown of king, I love to be beardoholic, It’s a passion for me, In India it is generally said that “Mooch nahi to kuch nahi” means “It’s nothing without having a beard”. It’s a feeling of being a man.
- I’m doing it till this fully appeared on my face, previously it was on my face partially so I was trimming it, as soon as it fully appeared, I started to grow and started feeling like a MAN.
- I’m definitely planning to grow it as it grows. Leave it alone and take more care of it so that It can be one of the most famous beards.
2. Farhan Syed
- Without beard I look weird that’s why I decide to grow a beard.
- Being 10month I’m growing my beard I just always wash it properly give olive oil and comb it properly.
- Want to grow more.
3. Zec Richardson
- I have wanted to grow a full beard for years but always gave up when the itch kicked in, however at the beginning of October I stopped shaving and it was mainly because I had become depressed and stopped taking care of myself. I suffer chronic pain constantly and I am disabled and I was going through a rough patch. What I didn’t realise was that by growing a beard, I would actually end up liking what I saw in the mirror and I now take longer to get ready than my wife and I’m as happy as can be. I was saved by my beard!
- I had told my wife I wasn’t shaving until the clocks go forward on March 27th but I withdraw that statement and I am undecided on length, but it will be longer than my wife would like!
I use beard oil and balm and I rinse my beard morning and night, it gets washed with shampoo twice a week. I was washing it daily but it was making my beard dry. I use a beard brush and then style with a wooden comb. - My beard plans for the future are to get my wife to like my beard as much as I do and survive the shit storm that will occur on March 28th when she discovers the beard is staying and it will be a long beard forever.
Thanks Beardoholic, I thought growing a beard was just a case of throwing away my razor but it’s not and I have learnt how to grow and care for my beard by reading the articles on your website!
